CUNY Academic Commons

The CUNY Academic Commons is an online, academic social network for faculty, staff, and graduate students of the City University of New York (CUNY) system. Designed to foster conversation, collaboration, and connections among the 23 individual colleges that make up the university system, the site, founded in 2009, has quickly grown as a hub for the CUNY community, serving in the process to strengthen a growing group of digital scholars, teachers, and open-source projects at the university.

Manifold

Manifold is an intiutive, collaborative, open-source publishing platform for interactive scholarly monographs developed by a team of CUNY faculty, staff and students. Manifold is a collaboration between University of Minnesota Press, the GC Digital Scholarship Lab at the Graduate Center, CUNY, and Cast Iron Coding.

DH Box is a laboratory in the cloud that can be deployed quickly and easily. It’s simply accessed from any computer as long as you’ve got an internet connection and some contextual knowledge. Ready-to-go configurations of OmekaNLTKIPythonR Studio, and Mallet are included in the DH Box platform.

Commons In A Box

Commons In A Box is an open source project that grew out of the CUNY Academic Commons and aims to turn its infrastructure into a free, distributable, easy-to-install package. Commons in a Box takes the complexity out of creating a Commons site, helping organizations create a space where members can discuss, collaborate, and share.
