This semester, the GC Digital Fellows will pilot one-on-one and small group consultations by appointment in order to provide graduate students at the GC with assistance on their digital projects . Individuals or small groups can meet with a GC Digital Fellow for help with using a specific tool, designing a project, locating and cleaning data, or finding the right tool to address a research question.
GC Digital Fellows have a wide range of skills sets, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Git and Github
- Python programming (offered at a variety of levels)
- Data visualization
- R
- WordPress
- HTML/CSS
- Google Doc, Google Sheets, and Excel
- GIS
- Machine Learning
- And more!
Consultation sessions last half an hour and are one-on-one with a Digital Fellow who will be matched to help you with your individualized questions. After an initial appointment, you may schedule a follow-up 30 minute session with the same fellow if needed, to check on progress and answer any additional questions you may have. Requests for consultations are considered on a first-come, first-served basis, and we cannot accommodate requests made within 48-hours from the desired meeting time. If we cannot find someone to work with your specific request, we’ll do our best to help direct you to someone within the GC who may be able to help.
To schedule a consultation, please fill out the following form. You will receive a response from us to set up an appointment within a week of your form submission.
