**CANCELED** Introduction to Machine Learning: Text Classification
Room 9204 @ The GC 365 Fifth Ave., New York, NYThis workshop will introduce participants to the core concepts of machine learning. We will first outline the differences between the major tasks in supervised and unsupervised machine learning (classification, regression, and clustering). We will then try a hands-on example of text classification to discussion topics such as data preprocessing, feature representation, and dimensionality reduction. For this session, we will be using the scikit-learn machine learning library. A working knowledge of Python is required for this workshop.
