This workshop will explore a number of approaches for analyzing text as part of humanities research. Using tools to count word frequency and correlation, topic modeling and sentiment analysis, host and Digital Fellow, Micki Kaufman will review her research and methodology using text analysis of historical documents. Another significant focus will be on the many options and decisions involved in effective visualization of the results.
