Introduction to Data Cleaning and Visualization Tools

In this workshop, Digital Fellows Micki Kaufman and Alice Lynn McMichael will present the fundamentals of using data in humanities research, with specific focus on data cleaning and basic visualization techniques and practices. The workshop’s data cleaning segment will demonstrate effective ways to aggregate and prepare data for humanities analysis, including managing online and PC/Mac-based spreadsheets and data sets. The visualization segment will present a number of available tools for creating visual representations of the data.
