According to Wikimedia, 87% of Wikipedia editors are men and are most commonly white men in their mid-twenties. Countless groups have wondered about the bias that this creates on what has become the first place most people turn for information. As part of a nationwide event, a group of us will meet at the Graduate Center, CUNY to sign into Wikipedia and edit and create entries to counteract the dominance of the cis, white, able-bodied male perspective. This event is a collaboration with the Crunk Feminist Collective.
