Deeper Look: Data Visualization

After a brief overview of the last workshop, the data sets created in the prior session will serve as the basis of additional exploration. In this workshop Digital Fellows Micki Kaufman and Alice Lynn McMichael will demonstrate the more detailed operations of visualization software (including applications, programming languages and web sites) such as Excel, Gephi, Many Eyes, D3 and others. This workshop will provide attendees with a deeper review of two or more of these visualization tools and how it might apply to their academic work.
