Fellowships

GC Digital Fellowship

The Graduate Center Digital Fellows program places doctoral students with advanced technological skills in strategic positions throughout the Graduate Center. The GC Digital Fellows work with faculty members on digital scholarly projects, design websites for special initiatives, facilitate training workshops, and, more broadly, explore new ways for Graduate Center faculty, students, and staff to share their academic work through new technological platforms and social media tools. Their reflections on this process can be found on their blog, Tagging the Tower.

Program Social Media Fellowship

The Program Social Media Fellows are PhD students who work within their respective departments on digital scholarly projects, design websites for special initiatives, and explore ways for faculty and students in departments to share their academic work through new social media tools. Their reflections on this work can be found on their blog, Social Mediums.

Videography Fellowship

The Videography Fellows program is designed to promote the Graduate Center’s scholarly activities online, making them more available and accessible to public audiences. The focus of the program is to produce high quality videos for the GC’s Ph.D. programs, centers, and the three Mellon committees.

New Media Lab

At the New Media Lab, Graduate Center doctoral students and faculty members from a range of academic disciplines are given the opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary environment. They collaborative with NML staff, with each other, and with their advisers to use technology to develop innovative websites and tools in the digital humanities, sciences, and social sciences.
