GCDI launches the Graduate Center’s Python Users Group (PUG).  Python is a high-level scripting language useful for a wide variety of tasks, ranging from dynamic web pages to natural language processing and data visualization.  It is especially well suited to rapid application development and has a large number of libraries to quickly implement many kinds of projects.  The users group is a place where Python users of all levels can meet to talk about projects, give or receive assistance with Python issues, and bond over their love of all things Python.  Advanced users can offer guidance to beginners and people interested in recruiting partners for projects have a forum to plan and discuss ideas.  The group meets alternating Mondays (Nov 2, Nov 16, Nov 30, Dec 14) in the Digital Scholarship Lab, room 7414.
